Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Academy of Art University's decision to operate remotely, the Academy of Art Library will remain closed until students return to campus. Physical materials are not currently available for checkout.
However, the Library's online resources are available, and we have expanded access to e-books, digital magazines, and digital images during this time. You can find a list of available electronic resources on the Online Resources page of the Library's website.
For up-to-date announcement on library resources and services, please visit our website at: library.academyart.edu
We have extended the due date for all library materials that are currently checked out until June 21, 2021. As a courtesy, no additional late fees will be collected during this period. If you would like to return library materials you may do so here:

OCLC, The Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Battelle are conducting research on how long the COVID-19 virus survives on materials that are prevalent in libraries, archives, and museums. The project will draw upon the research to produce authoritative, science-based information on how - or if - materials can be handled to mitigate exposure to staff and visitors.
The Academy of Art Library is closely following this research and developing a plan to safely implement library services in the future.
