Library Services Fall 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Academy of Art University’s decision to operate remotely for the Fall 2020 semester, the Academy of Art Library will remain closed for the semester and physical materials are not available for checkout.

However, the Library’s online resources are available, and we have expanded access to e-books and e-magazines during this time. You can find a list of available online resources on our Online Resources page:
https://elmo.academyart.edu/find-resources/online_articles.html

If you have questions, you can use the Ask-A-Librarian form on the Library’s website or email us at library@academyart.edu and we will respond to you within 24 hours.

For up-to-date information on library services, please visit our website at: library.academyart.edu

REALM Project

OCLC, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Battelle are conducting research on how long the COVID-19 virus survives on materials that are prevalent in libraries, archives, and museums. The project will draw upon the research to produce authoritative, science-based information on how—or if— materials can be handled to mitigate exposure to staff and visitors.

The Academy of Art Library is closing following this research and developing a plan to safely implement contactless pickup and other library services in the future.
